    Hi there.

I'm having a strange issue with afterburner.

I'm running my fury at 1140/570, power limit+50,+72mV, custom fan curve.(temperature never exceeds 52-53+C under load)

Trixx: everything is stable, furmark, benchmarks, hours tested-no issues. different games and what is most important witcher 3 (one of the most sensitive to unstable overclock games I've ever seen)

    AB 4.2.0(same OC):

Witcher 3 crashes within 3-5 minutes every time.

I have amd catalyst driver 15 .11.1 installed but I've tried the latest crimson driver and Ab has the same issue. Unfortunately I couldn't check Trixx coz crimson driver resets core clock to 1000 all the time,I didn't even touch overdrive obviously, I can OC only memory).

I tried uninstalling trixx, uninstalling AMD drivers using DDU in safe mode and installing them again, uninstalling AB and installing it again and whatnot.

I only have "unlock voltage control" enabled and "extend official overclocking limits"(so that I can OC HBM)

How do I check what is exactly wrong here?

    Thank you.

PS Fury unlocked to 3840. Stable(no aftifacts, no throttling, no nothing) in everything at default clocks and , as I've mentioned, at my current OC with Trixx.

    Here's another sample.
My Fury X was very stable with Trixx at 1160/500, +50%, +48mv
But with Afterburner, I can't stabilize my fury at 1160/500 +48mv, even with more than +72mv.
Now I'm using 1120/500 +60mv. I dont' think it's best result but I'm tired of crashing.
I'm just wating for another afterburner update.

I think I know what causes it

Check voltages(right column, I used Trixx and AB logs)

    Trixx stock voltage

    Ab stock voltage

    Now, pay attention

    Trixx OC +72mV

    Ab +72 mV

It looks like Trixx actually pushes more than +72 mV for whatever reasons, whereas Ab is more accurate in this regard.

PPS OK.. I've increased +mV in AB to +96mV(it should be enough if we take a look at stable trixx OC voltage) and I still got crash within 2-3 minutes.

    Judging by AB logs

this time AB was pushing less voltage most of the time than was specified

I guess I'll have to stick to Trixx..

Learn to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges. AB gives you 3 different OC modes, with own pros and cons for each of them. AB uses official ADL overclocking path by default (which is why it is working with Crimson out of box), Trixx is always using overclocking mode equal to "unofficial OC with PowerPlay support" in AB settings.
