As some of you might know or read my prior posts about my ssd read speed issue, im only getting 1500mb/s reads when everyone else is getting 2000+ reads, etc.... Specs of PC are in sig, so to hopefully make a long story short I have tried EVERYTHING within my knowledge to play in BIOS and figure out if there is anything in there to fix this, and I cant seem to see anyrthing. I am using SLi (Cards in the correct slots) and a 40 lane CPU (5930k) etc.... I took a pic and circled in red what samsung magician software says for link speed, does it look right or wrong for a m.2 that should be operating @ PCIe 3.0 4x speeds? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.. thanks

thanks for that input... now its verified.. I wonder what i can do to fix this. Im using a 40lane cpu, i have disabled things like the asmedia usb controller to hopefully free up a lane or 2, etc.... Still nothing. THere isnt much in the bios to manually set for this issue. Is this a bios bug?

Your SSD is operating at PCIE 2.0 x4 wich gives you exactly 1500 MB/s for a SDD. As you pointed out it should be operating at 3.0 x4 mode to achieve the maximum speed.

I am not sure if it still relevant, but will post in case it is.

I believe your issue is in overclock. i7-5930 and\or Asus X99 (I didn't investigate this thoroughly) are known to behave sometimes weirdly with M.2 under overclock.
You can read a bit about it here and here.

I suggest you disable overclock for a test session - and check if SSD performance normalizes to anticipated results.

i fixed this issue by purchasing another motherboard... I threw that junk asus x99a-II back to amazon and got a asrock professional gaming i7 board.. excellent board and all storage issues fixed..
