stopped program before recording

I have search for an good solution but non of them helped me.

So when I was recording my planetside 2 session, I forgot to stop the recording before quitting the game. now I am stuck with a 24,9GB avi file that says it's not an avi file... I used the MJPG compression. is there any solution so the video material doesn't go to waste?

jup.... manually write a working header into the file.
