New SSD Question

    I'm thinking about getting a mx300 or Samsung 950 pro can my motherboard even run Samsung at its full potential? My motherboard is a asrock p67 fatal1ty professional. I own m4 128GB crucial.

    It has 6gb/s ports so it should.

    Than I will get the Samsung 950 pro. I have window 7 I hope that does not effect it? So cloning my m4 crucial to Samsung when I get it there shouldn't be a problem's because they are made from different company?

    There should not be any difficulty with the cloning process due to different brands of SSDs. It's not really any different then having a WD hard drive and replacing it with a Seagate etc... :)

    I used the Samsung data migration tool and it worked like a charm from a platter drive.

    I used the same software to migrate win10 from my ocz vertex 512gb to my new Samsung 960evo 256gb....i was up and running in no less than 30 mins...worked perfectly.
