    Yeah correct, that's names just like the AMD drivers. XFX seems to try and lift sales upon the brand recognition from AMD. The card is the Radeon RX 480 Crimson Edition 8 GB graphics located under S...

    I imagine the manufacturers only making AMD cards would have really liked to have also an enthusiastic GPU available, but AMD never gave them one.

    but don't forget that money is made with middle segment, not with high end...

    and company need money to live.

    so i guess it's ok for them as they are where AMD is less expensive than NVidia and are not implanted where AMD is more expensive than NVidia :)

    it's all benefit for bizne$$

    Lets not forget Nvidia screwing XFX out of being an AIB parter for Nvidia.

    I'm slightly disappointed. This looks like simply a "RX480 RS" with red LED fans. I was hoping for something like the "380 Crimson Edition". It does look like XFX is offering a "low-power/quiet" bios for the RS, but this card doesn't appear to have the switchable dual bios that made the 380 Crimson Edition cool.

    Did it pass the Microsoft certification? Last driver (17.2.1) for Windows 10 64-bit did not.

    For a short moment i was ::3eyes:
    But after reading the specs, i was :banana:
    I thought that XFX just released a top notch cherry picked SKU and i just bought the XFX GTR version a few weeks before.

    I don't think it works that way. Now anyone wanting more power than a 480 needs to get an Nvidia card, and it's automatically from someone else. Surely they would like to have everything from entry level to enthusiastic to offer.

    If the high end didn't make money, then there wouldn't be such a huge selection of GTX 1080 cards. When 1080Ti is released, there will be plenty of cards as well. With Vega, the AMD card makers will finally have something to offer up there as well, but it took a long time.

    I have Noctua fans!
