Why do you think i am asking for a modded driver?

also you are wrong, in win9x, they have 2 drivers which are supported for the 8 series, one is modded and one isn't.

But couldn't you guys just add the 8400gs like you guys do with the rest of the drivers that isn't 8 series supported?
Why is the 81.98 so much different then say a non support 8 or 9 series driver?

Modders cant just add this support. nv4disp.dll is very old..
Easy to say "just add 8xxx support" and impossible to do.

Yep indeed. I've seen it tried several times, without result.
81.98 is a premium nVidia driver, though. It's probably the fastest driver for < 6xxx series.

and I think thats why there s no "mixin driver" solution for my DVI problem, or?

I just want to enjoy ambient occlusion (190.xx) via DVI (182.50) at my 19'' Monitor...
