I haven't watched the vid, but the question is not why he's so surprised after 44 years, but what made him stay in there for 44 years. But hey, he gets tv time for being locked up for 44 years and not getting what happened outside of prison... :3eyes:

It took us 60 years from 1st aeroplane to get on Moon. Our children may live to see genetic modifications preventing aging and death connected to it.

I'm amazed with tech after 44 DAYS. Technology advances so quickly, it's difficult to stay ahead of it.
Not surprised that he is the first prisoner to actually do all of his time behind bars. These days, especially in the UK, you are released early, sometime as early as 1/5 of your expected jail term. Shocking really. The so called early release with good behavior is what is fundamentally wrong with the system. Good behavior should be a minimum requisite to actually be released, let alone early. Bad behavior should extend the term.
That video is cool, really makes you think of the things you have and take for granted. Also, 44 years for attempted murder? Holy ****!!
I think they will have their hands full with a lot of issues that we cant solve. And honestly i think we are more likely heading for a worst world then the opposite.
