hi guys I installed magician 4.4 and I cannot activate rapid mode. It says that my ssd is not supported but all the requirements listed by magician are met. I'm using Samsung 840 pro 512gb Things I've tried Uninstall 4.4 and install 4.3 - That did not work Uninstall 4.4, reboot and install again - Also did not work
And the Target Drive drop down list shows nothing? What does the the Disk Drive screengrab look like?
Target drive shows nothing Disk drive will show my ssd info, s/n, firmware etc. also the Genuine test.
OK, check if Rapid service (SamsungRapidSvc.exe) is running. Check your sequential read and write speeds (if Rapid happens to work even with your error).
More people have this problem with Magician 4.4. This Dutch site tweakers people talk about the same problem. Skai21 has the same problem. http://tweakers.net/downloads/32991/samsung-magician-44.html You can send Samsung a Email.
No did not see that service. My read and write speed is about 500MB and 450MB respectively. Also BadDriver I already emailed samsung about this problem last week. Received an email from them today saying that there's no solution from samsung. So yeah I just need to wait.
Maybe u can look into the samsung log file like i did. It can be a conflict with a other program. I solved my conflict with magician.
Just an update I received an email from samsung. According to them , The problem was caused , that some old registry keys form the Magician Tool update were not properly removed.
I formatted my windows. Did not format just because rapid mode was not working. You can contact samsung. The solution Samsung gave me was that they need to access my pc via teamviewer to delete some registry. According to them is that when I installed the new version, it did not delete some old registry which is why I cannot use rapidmode.
Uninstall with Revo Uninstaller or Advanced Uninstaller Pro; after uninstall they clean the registry from leftovers.
Unfortunately I have done -both- these without any luck! I really don't want to format because of this!
Cleaning the registry with some tool might help - I've used jv16 power tools for years. The free trial is 60 days.
Give CCleaner Free a go... should have this one installed anyway Edit: Only if you know what it is you're removing. I'm going to contradict myself by saying I never use reg cleaners, but I do use CCleaner. Use the backup feature before making the changes.
Sometimes Windows Installer Clean-Up Utility has been the only tool to get rid of some stubborn software (at least when Windows thinks it's still installed after all cleaning).
Yes, it's pretty pointless. Helps if you tinker repeatedly with same files that fit the cache. And nice benchmarks...
