I've looked through the driver list on the site, but I'm still not sure which one will give me the best performance while running EverQuest

My system configuration:

Amd K6-2 450
128MB RAM
Tyan S1590S Trinity 100AT Motherboard
IBM ESS Solo-1 PCI Audio Adapter
Conexant PCI Speakerphone/Data/Fax/Voice modem
VideoExcel 128 Riva TNT2 64/64 Pro 32MB

Hehe... also, why can't I find VideoExcel's site?

For my TNT2 vanta 32 mb
the best seems detonator 5.08

In UT and in Q3 that one gives the best performance.
I dont know what engine everquest uses, and which renderer it works best with, but I think you cant go wrong with older drivers.
Last week i rechecked, tried a detonator III(6.47)
and I could not get the same out of it.
Maybe you should stick to older drivers like 5.08, because your card does not support the extra features of newer drivers, and older drivers were written especially for the tnt/tnt2( not geforce)
Use not the drivers from your card, stick to nvidia reference drivers, most users think they do a better job

Videoexcel? Is that a real brand?( just kidding, kenn)
No really, is it a real brand? (hehe)
The 5.xx drivers are best for TNT/TNT2 cards in terms of speed but for compatibility, you just can't beat the 6.50 drivers.

Oh yeah, you're in the wrong forum , if you post it in the Nvidia forum you'll get more replies.

Cheers,
I strongly disagree.
For my TNT2 i done a lot of extensive testing with Det 5.32 and 6.50, both the ones official:
DD Speed 2.01
Ziff Davis Speed Rate
pcplayerD3d
3DMark99
FinalReality 1.01
MBTR
Tirtanium 1.9
Unreal226f
Expendable
Incoming
Quake2-320
Heretic2 1.0
HalfLife 1.1.0.6
SeriousSam
Quake3
Soldier of Fortune
Fogcity

The results are in generally close BUT 6.50 manages to be ahead of 5.32.
In the other few games 6.50 is MUCH BETTER than 5.32 - for instance Unreal 32bit, or 5.32 is unplayable:Serious Sam, Incoming, Deathtrap Dungeon and Diablo2.

For my previous TNT i reccomend 5.32 as 6.50 is worse in 2d, GDI and probably 3d but i didn't did extensive testing with that system.
