Anyone else having constant crashes in games even after updating to "Hotfix" 353.38. I tested GTX 980 Ti with Nais Benchmark and with vRamBandWidthTest-guru3d. Both tests give fails after 5.2GB RAM.

Please, is anyone else seeing this aberrant behavior?

Threads like these are not very helpful. Pun intended.

If others have the same problem then those tests can help define it. If not, then I have a fundamentally defective card that needs RMA

You need to run the benchmark in headless mode to get valid results, because some vMemory is used by Windows (AERO)

I thought it was common knowledge that the 980Ti has the same memory config as the 970.

That would be incorrect, the 980Ti does not have the same issue. It has access to the full 6gb at fullspeed.

Try to get a hold on, on the videogame lords of fallen then u should not have to worry if it works just fine, because that game eat your vram like mcdonalds orders.

That 5.2 number could very possibly be a bad VRAM chip or controller, I don't know.

I'm mostly unfamiliar with the programs you are using to "test" the VRAM.

I suppose 5.2 could be one bad chip (5.5GB, plus the ~.3GB required for windows), but maybe not, I sorta figured ram was used in more evenly distributed addresses across the RAM chips than just filling up one then moving to the next.

I guess try to find a program to fill the VRAM that is easier to understand the output of than those two programs (wasn't one designed to show the flaw of the 970's 3.5+.5GB?)
