    hello everyone...

I am looking for a new graphics card(nvidia only) that can play the latest titles like NFS The Run, MW3, GTA IV; as well as the upcoming ones at medium-high settings. I have a small display(17") with a native resolution of 1280x1024. I don't require extreme frame rates; around 30 would be alright. My budget is 5000-5500 INR (that's around 100-110 $). Please suggest a good graphics card for my needs.

I am thinking of the GT440 1GB DDR3.. its available for 5400 INR, would it be alright?

One more question- which one of the following has a bigger impact on gaming performance, the memory bandwidth or the number of shaders..?

For that budget you can get 5770/6770 OR GTS 450....they have great performance at even 1680x1050....

GTX 460, if you can find one for that price. Other slower choices are GTX 550 Ti and GTS 450. Just make sure you grab a GDDR5 version.

Don't need to, but is handy with high AA and games with heavy texture loading to v-ram.

Between new cards w. GDDR5 for under $100: GeForce GT 440, HD 6670 is the better choice thou.
    GTX460 is more up at $140, GTX550Ti at $120

Funny to see those refurbish replies, you guys do know that those aren't sold everywhere?

$45 is a nice price thou, wonder what it would end at with customs and shipping.

I would go with a new GTX550Ti if refurbished is no option and if the money up to a GTX460 are hard to find.

I see the 1gb 460 is $140, so might be possible to find a 768mb one for less than $100, and that would be a perfect card for that resolution.

Even a overclocked 570gtx can be slow at that resolution once you max out everything (Metro2033, Bf3, Crysis,..), let alone a 460gtx, just saying.

I won't max out everything. Anti-aliasing would be at maximum 4x.

For example, if i am playing COD MW2,
it would 2x AA, all textures set to extra/high and everything else set to yes. Even my laptop(Geforce 310M) handles that quite easily at 1280x720, so i don't suppose a GT440 should have any problems..?
