Guru3D Points Per Day Index Here will hopefully become a good index for estimated folding performance per work unit, cpu type, cpu core speed, using more than one client and whether your using folding affinity changer. After we’ve collected a few more results the data collected will be represented in likely image based, excel 97-2003 file and PDF. Rules for posting your results: You must list the CPU E.g. Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 or Intel Pentium 4 Prescott Core. Must list number of cores (including virtual cores but you must list that as '2 HT'). Core speed E.g. 3.0 (only use a single decimal place - 1 DP - 1 decimal place - not 2.865 but 2.8 - never round it unless its like 2.19 or more). Must know if your using two clients as this affects PPD. Must know if your using affinity changer as this affects PPD too. Work Unit/Project Number E.g. 2653 Frame times (one frame equals 1%) Points Per Day reported by fahmon Client type E.g. SMP Client version E.g. 6.10 Operating system E.g. Windows Vista 64 Bit (no need for any other information such as 'pro' or 'homebasic'. Use this for submiting your own data: Quote and edit CPU: Number of cores: Core speed: using two clients?: using affinity changer?: Work Unit/Project Number: Frame times (one frame equals 1%): Points Per Day reported by fahmon: Client type: Client version: Operating system: Any results submited with out following rules will not accounted, all scores require a screenshot of the latest fahmon showing the highest acheived points per day and frame time and a screenshot of CPUZ - Will accept cropped images. Thanks damager Appreciate it - also 1700k PPD on the dual core is impressive with Affinity changer. Cheers sardine, 2600 PPD is good for a quad overclocked in vista - You could try running twin clients with affinity changer (or with a single client and affinity changer).
i tried affinity changer but it didnt seem to change anything. as it is now , all 4 cores showing 25 with the odd one showning 24-23 as I browse the net and "performance" showing all 4 graphs maxed to the top with 100% cpu usage. I would'nt know how to run twin clients and if I did run 2 would'nt that just lower my current one down by half and splitt the work across 2 clients not gaining speed ?? 2 clients would = 8*fahcore_a1.exe running ??? I'm trying FAH on a dual core 3600+amd here and damn its slow.. 750ppd on a WU2563 running the same 4*fahcore_a1.exe on a dual core. should'nt be 2 ?? or is the amd x2 3600 that slow ? oh and this morning Project : 3064 Core : SMP Gromacs Frames : 100 Credit : 1753 -- fah -- Min. Not many people to contribute really, may be worth pushing again. Exactly what it says on the tin, changes the affinity on each of the core processes (when using SMP client).

Holy shirt kcuf PantherX your getting not quite 13.5K from SMP2 god damn i need a new CPU your score makes mine look like a quadriplegic trying to beat Jesus in water walking contest
I could be getting more PPD with my i7-860 but as this is the only one system I have, I am using -smp 7 instead of -smp 8. Plus due to the high ambient room temperature, I can't OC more than 3.6 as the temperature will rise above 80C which I feel is pushing my luck. Third party cooling options are few and expensive so I had to settle for Zalman CNPS9900 NT.
sounds a bit like here what is available is over priced compared to other countries mainly because we live in an out of the way country thousands of miles from anywhere. Take for example the Prolimatech Megahalems Rev.B it goes here for $126.49 NZD but in the U.S. it goes for $62.00 or $84.43 NZD thats whole $42.06 cheaper and thats from an online only store cost is even more from a bricks n mortar shop
