SweetFX Shader Suite release and discussion thread #4

That file works for BF4 for me, but it doesn't apply ANY form of AA, not SMAA nor FXAA.
Any ideas how to get either one to work?
Talking about Windows 8.1 x64.

 

Actually I really like the Gaussian shader for sharpening. Ceejay and Boulotaur, are there plans to port it to eFX?

 

Isn't the only Gaussian shader, the blur one? How does that sharpen anything?

is sweetfx not compatible with win 8.1 pro x64 or there something wrong with my setup?i got crash on every game i used sweetfx...doesnt happen when before im upgrade to windows 8.1...any clue?

Yes, Win 8.1 are not supported yet, you can using RadeonPro or eFX for getting SweetFX works.

You mean only the Description or the whole inside settings.txt ?


Tried it with deleted description only,but still not working.

Hi I'm trying to use this so I can finish Assassins creed 3 without it looking dull, my friend gave me a preset but I can't get SweetFX to load. It just never loads, nothing happens. I don't have any overlay on (or does Logitech gaming software interfere?) and closed MSI afterburner.
I've tried SweetFX 1.5, configurator version, SweetFX + EFX Beta with no success.
Running Windows 8 Pro 64-bit.
My Logfile says:

Have you tried radeonpro or boulotaur's injector?

 

So I know it isn't working right now but has anyone started working on updating the dxgi.dll to make it work under Window 8.1 yet?

I'm using a TN monitor (benq xl2411t) and it suffers from top part of the screen being pretty much darker as any other TN because of viewing angles. I use MPC HC for playing video and this problem is solved in it with an "LCD overbright" shader which changed the brightness with gradient solving this problem.

Yes work is being done but it's not an update to the existing dxgi.dll, SweetFX is moving to another injector being created by Crosire called eFX which is a DirectX9-11 and OpenGL injector. The injector however is still very alpha and unstable as it works for some games but not others, you are welcome to help test out the injector using the SweetFX+eFX bundle linked here. Do note however OpenGL is not supported by SweetFX just yet and I believe there are other issues around the current port I can't quite remember.

Edit: I might add that the first post of the thread is not as up to date as the rest of the first page, the FAQ is the most up to date in terms of compatibility questions. Speaking of which that actually needs an eFX injector reference to it but then again the eFX injector is very alpha and works for some games but not others..

This version will work on Windows 8.1 x64 it's the same SweetFX + EFX that was posted but I cleaned up the unnecessary files that didn't need to be there and I added my BF4 SweetFX settings.
