    Hi all,

I have posted a different thread recently regarding my connection problems but upon further observation it seems I have pinpointed the problem to wifi/signal problems

    What I have

200mbps fiber (huwawei modem) connected to ASUS RT-N56U dual band router

Router is in my living room about 15 meters away from my room

My PC uses a USB based wifi adapter (ASUS USB-N13)

Using wifi analyzer (and checking my phone's connectivity to wifi in my room) I believe signal is ok except for my PC's connection (Checking on the connection status it sometimes says no connection or connection is as slow as 1-5mbps)

    So my plan is either

    A. get a new USB wifi adapter (dual band to take advantage of my router's dual band capability) Im eyeing either the USB-AC56 (with antenna) or the USB-N53 (dual band)

    B. get a wifi range extender (then again my PC's wifi remain single band so I cant get to take advantage of the 5Ghz band of my router)

Any thoughts? any other things worth looking into like maybe consider a PCIe adapter instead of USB? Thanks!
