No thread about the droid turbo. I think this may be the best phone of 2014. 3GB, 805SoC, 21mp camera, 3900mah battery, almost stock ui, motorolla voice control, active display. 5.2" 2560x1440 phone that isnt huge. I'm thinking about upgrading from a note 3.
Motorola also announced the unbranded carrier version the Moto Maxx. I love the direction Motorola is going. Samsung, LG and Apple better watch out or Motorola might come up first again with how they're going.
The system specs look really good. The only thing that's no bueno for me is the lack of expandable storage. I need more than 64 GB of storage space.
Well my Droid X is getting old may upgrade to this model as it looks promising. What are you doing on your phone that you need more then 64GB of storage?
Easy. Pr0n. I actually have about 29gb used of apps, pictures, music, and videos I took...I need to clean my phone out...
My music collection is almost 78 GB. Then I have pictures and apps. So I'm using about 103 GB of storage space on my iPhone 6 Plus.
^ do you seriously need 78gb worth of music on a phone? I mean, I get that phones give more space these days, but that to me seems like a huge waste of space. No offense intended.. just don't get that at all. As for the Droid Turbo.. dear god I want this phone so bad. Perfect size, amazing specs. Only one problem. WAY too expensive.
What data plan do you have? You should setup PLEX media server. I'm not going to list the multitude of features PLEX has, but you should definitely check it out. I only have a 2GB data plan, so I tend to just stream from plex over wi-fi or i desperately need something that's not locally on my phone. Oh, and it's better suited for music as I'm guessing music doesn't take as much bandwidth as movies and TV shows. My only real gripe is that there is no playlist support for the android app. Although iOS has it... I can't imagine it won't come to Android at some point. Anyways I just ordered the Ballistic Nylon 64GB version, and I'm really excited. Gotta wait til Christmas though!
