Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO Link here SWTOR! Anyone heard about it or know if there is a beta? Seems quite promising to be frank, potential to have some nice PvP and group vs group elements in this game
This is like my most hyped up game right now. :banana: Hope they choose me in Beta and I'll make sure to get into one ASAP. Also buying game Day 1.
Might do just that, we will see. Game seems really promising after browsing around on their webbie, question is if the game will be more WoWish or Dark Age of Camelotish in its endgame. PvEing is not something I enjoy that much, but meaningfull and flexible pvp/group vs group / zerg vs zerg / group vs zerg is something I really enjoy. Read on the forum that the planets are gonna be huge wich sounds great, wounder if they will go EVE style and keep everyone on the same universe or split it up in servers.
Hehe I'm getting hyped aswell, seems to have so much potential this game. It is like Mass effect 2 mixed with WoW/warhammer, Dark age of camelot and Star wars Knights republic ( wich is some older game SW mmo ). Seems really awesome Have a look at this vid showing gameplay from 2009 alpha work. Man I cannot wait for this beta signed up yesterday!
Not really possible with server maintenance cost money every month for them. Unless you are talking about around 500 USD which cover for about 3 years. But then I wouldn't pay 500 for lifetime not knowing if the game still alive in 3 years.
I seriously doubt that every people would get lifetime subscription. They offered lifetime subscriptions in LOTRO and it worked fine. Those are never going to be very popular if the price is between 100€-150€.
Yah, LOTRO had one and would definitely be worth it if you play it actively over year. I would have bought that lifetime for LOTRO if I had started it like a year earlier... Was a bit lacking of people because everyone just rushed to Moria. Waiting for KOTOR.
Lifetime subscription is great as long as the game is up to the task to entertain you for life... well years. But as I see it TOR wants to ''kill'' or at least ''injure'' WoW so they will probably take Blizzard's approach and make it monthly subscription only.
i hope they do that good to hurt wow iv been playing wow for about 4 years now and im burnt out on it so i hope tor will be a good replacement i even tried star trek online and it was horrible
They need to release the beta asap so "us" the players can play it and give them some feedback because that blaster class didn't play out that well imo and same might apply to other classes.
