Today we have another bang for buck product a product that I like very much. As what ATI is doing today is pretty remarkable. They are releasing the Radeon HD 4770 a mainstream product at a budget price.... More...
Impressive little card, indeed. Certainly a nice value for the roughly $100. The cheapest 4850 I could find, was this one: Radeon HD 4850 512MB - $99.99 (after $20.00 mail-in rebate) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102824 So, considering you can get a revised and newer product for the same or cheaper price, makes the 4770 a winner, imo. My only critique point is the naming scheme. Having the same (or better) performance as the 4850, they should have called it other than 4770. Let's hope that customers don't think the 4850 is the better one.
I would love to see two of these crossfire'd vs the 4890 and Geforce 275. I would think the 4770's would hold up well in frames and power consumption.
I want 2 in my next upgrade....ohhh lets say come Xmas time? Id like to see some power consumption charts on crossfire please?
Overclocked your hitting near HD4870 performance....and for under 100bucks. Thats a cracking good deal
Soo guess who'll be buying one of these Do we know when they'll hit the shelves? Didn't see in article :nerd: Nevermind they have it on OCuK  Ordered one
does this flurry of GPUs in the last 2 years annoy anyone..?? it does me, they're not releasing anything new, they just chop & change them slightly.. higher clocks more or less SPs higher or lower bus speed & then they tart them up as ''new'' cards & push them out the door.... SK
Now I feel ripped off having bought a 4850. lol! O well, its my gf's PC. When I build my own. I'll be looking into these =)

I certainly would try and bag it as soon as it arrives in INDIA. any news when its set to launch in India??
These little things make me wonder if I should sell my HD4870,and crossfire 2xHD4770... I would have better performance, and less energy consumption... That is really a great card, but I think that this means that HD4850 will be phased out shortly...
