This is an appeal to those who haven’t tried Tribes 2.<br> <br> I've been a first person shooter player ever since Doom first came out. I've played many of the popular FPS games online for several years such as Doom, Heretic, Quake, Q2, Q3, Unreal Tournament and Half Life. <b>IN MY OPINION</b> these games are basically the same but with different weapons. I'm not saying these games are bad, I use to enjoy them quite a bit, I just think they are beginning to lack variety and innovation. I would play Unreal (Tournament), Half Life and any of the Quake series until the wee hours of the morning. I was an FPS junky. It finally took <b>=PHANTOM=</b> to twist my arm after weeks of nagging to eventually go out and buy Tribes (the original). There was a learning curve to overcome but, after some tutoring from =PHANTOM=, I was hooked.<br> <br> Tribes 2 is an excellent sequel which improves on most everything from the original.<br> The jump jets that allow players to make short flights in the air adds a much needed element to make the game fresh and exciting.<br> There are all the different missions such as Deathmatch, CTF, Hunters, Bounty, Team Hunters, Capture and Hold, Duel and of course Siege, all of which many of you are familiar with.<br> Changing armor types at the inventory stations and utilizing any of the 5 different vehicles allow you to suit yourself to any given objective or task.<br> The game is very friendly to those who have higher pings. The coding of the game for Internet play allows HPBs to be competitive with the LPBs.<br> <br> If you can pick up the game, we have a permanent server of our own to play on and a <b>great group of clansman</b> to help people get past the learning curve.<br> <br> <IMG SRC="smileys/giddy.gif"> Give T2 a try, join our Tribe and have fun gaming with us. <IMG SRC="smileys/giddy.gif"><br>
um, the inventory station thing, you can preset your armor and weapon setups. fully customizable. the flick of a key you go from a high flying scout to a heavy delivering mortars. <br> Not to mention the in game comunication setup. tmail, forums (we don't use them) buddy lists, player pages, clan pages. It makes finding team mates a snap, there isn't a game that rivals this one.

although i never buy PC games....(Thanks to my 12x10x32 Burn_Broof Tech. YAMAHA). i'm thinking of rewritng the game, do you guys think it will run fine on my:<br> 1.2 Athlon 100FSB DDR<br> 256MG PC133<br> 40Gig UDMA<br> and the crap part is Hercules 3D prophet 32MG MX SDRAM.<br> 56K modem (the worst ever!!!)
