Ello... Dave Dunne here

anyhow... i was meant to be getting a 3D Prophet 4500 64mb AGP, but some dumb fool gave me a 3D PROPHET II GTS 64MB ULTRA instead... and i was just wondering if i should take it back, or if i'd (only a small chance, but hey) be better keeping this one?

Dave Dunn Peace Out
Both were a good card. But since NEC/PowerVR (kyro4500 chipset maker) left the 3d chipset business, better to keep the gf2gts ultra. (just look at 3dfx user right now, like a little orphan without anybody to help them) In fact, gf2gts got hardware TnL (which kyro dont have and used in most newer games) and clocked faster than kyro.
I agree, the Kyro was a good card, tile-based rendering was a good idea. But your gonna have a lot more support if you go with the GTS (note: is it a GTS that they just called Ultra, or is it the Ultra chipset, big difference?). Keep the GTS, do the overclocking, and enjoy!

My Rig:
http://www.tweakers.com.au/pcdb/viewall.asp?pcid=201
