Hi, I've got the latest version of AB but I get no audio when recording. I've tried quite a few different audio settings with no luck. I've got the Asus Xonar D2X if that helps.

Do you have the latest *beta*, 2.2.0 beta 12?

If you're using the latest non-beta release 2.1.0, audio capture capability was only added later in the 2.2.0 betas.

Where have you tried the different audio settings? Have you tried manually selecting the audio source in Afterburner's Video Capture options?

Edit .\Bundle\OSDServer\SaveMedia.cfg, change EnableLog from 0 to 1 and do a short recoring (5 seconds is enough) then post contents of SaveMedia.log, which will be created in the same folder.
Don't forget to disable logging after that, because it degrades the performance during video capture a bit.

According to the log audio capture layer get initialized properly and start audio capture process then it simply idles and receives no data from sound card driver. So I'm afraid ASUS sound card driver with malfunctioning loopback recording implementation is the problem source.
If this sound card supports direct "What U hear" recording, then you may try to select "WASAPI recodring device" as audio source type and "What U hear" as audio source. If it won't work, you're out of luck until the problem is fixed on sound card driver side.

Hi, thanks for your reply, I dont have "WASAPI recodring device" but there is WASAPI Capture device, what u hear isn't an option. I have the following

    ALT
    Stereo Mix
    AUX
    Line in
    Wave
    CD Player
    SPDIF
    Mic

Stereo mix / what u hear are the same things depending on sound card vendor.
