sorry but Counterstrike didnt start for HL2 , but for HL1.

trailer is awesome!

the beta is soooooo fun, better than source in movement + hitboxes. they screwed up some classic maps though. dust is fine, but inferno and nuke have key areas blocked off. im waiting for somebody to fix the maps, and remake deagle5. meanwhile scoutsknivez is already out

Sorry but your a bit wrong there m8 the first (Counter Strike) Navy Seals was released in 1996 made with the 1st Quake engine then later (1999) renamed Counter Strike.

Netcode is similar to CSS but with quite a few issues fixed. You can now choose 2 tickrates as well, 64 for huge publics and 128 for matches.

That mod (while even having a different name) isnt important since the popularity started with the hl1 version which most people played.

Pretty much this. It's like trying to say Dota is from SC because it started as Aeon of Strife there, while we all know it's only what it is today because of WC3 and "Allstars" version.

the cs we all fell in love with was created in 1999/98 on the hl1 engine by gooseman

if only the weapons worked for me as well as they seem to work for everyone else in the beta, but otherwise is plays well.
