RGB to Ycbcr444 conversion might have a slight shift in colors. It doesn't compress the image or anything so the image quality won't degrade.

But if you're doing color sensitive photo work you'll want to work in RGB format. If your trying to master a Bluray movie, you'll want Ycbcr format. Bluray encodes the video to Ycbcr 4:4:4 colorspace. Most people that do video work stay in that display format.

For gaming though everything is RGB format, so it's best to leave it at that setting.

    Wow, what a difference!!!
Altough I have black level setting on monitor, this thing made it...WOW!!!
I feel like I got another dimension on display :)
Before 3D games felt more like 2.5D but now I can see-feel depth.
My IPS pannel looked so medicore, but now...two words to OP "Thank You".
One word for nvidia "suckers" :)

They are surely no morons, they just have their quirks. :micro:
Hopefully that stoneage NV Control Panel will be replaced all together.
    Maybe with gaming Maxwell?

I really don't see a problem with the NVCP, it looks like a Windows XP program, but isn't resource heavy and gets done what needs to be done. I just can't comprehend why they don't give the user the simple option of choosing limited or full colorspace when connecting to a TV. There is literally no excuse for the bug to have gone on this long. It's mindblowing.

I've just tried the NV_RGBFullRangeToggle.exe and it didn't work with my setup.

I am using the Seiki 39" 4k (with 50" firmware for proper 120Hz) along with a Samsung Syncmaster 2494 and a old Gateway FPD2185W monitors. I have the latest official Nvidia driver installed. The Seiki is connected via HDMI, the others are connected DVI-D.

I'm trying to get 1080P 120Hz (Seiki) to display 32bit color but nothing seems to work. Anything other than 120HZ will display 32bit color. Native 2160P 30Hz display's 32bit color. The other 2 monitors display 32bit color no problem as they are not on HDMI.

I have read somewhere else that someone was able to get their Seiki working with 1080p 120hz 32bit color but they didn't go into detail about how they did. So here I am trying to do so but not having to much luck. I know this is an Nvidia driver problem but I was hoping the hack in this thread was going to work.

Anyone have any idea's? Other than complaining to Nvidia.

Update: it did work. I just had to create a custom resolution for 1080p 120Hz 32bit.

Problem solved. Thanks for the hack.

Silly question, would I require this fix if I'm using an hdmi cable with a hdmi to dvi adapter?
My monitor only have hdmi input and the cable is connected to a hdmi->dvi adapter (which is hooked to my 780ti), because the hdmi out on the 780ti is occupied by a tv as a second monitor.

Potentially yes. Depending on the TV/Monitor. IF you don't see a problem. Don't bother :p

I'm not using HDMI right now but I will soon enough, is the fix still necessary or did NV fix it....... or add an option in the NVCPL?

Nothing pisses me off more than 0-255 outputting as 16-235.

Yes it still works and this option still isn't implemented in the driver so yes the fix is needed.
