Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

Well I did finish this game with 1.5 and had no issues actually. Great game Though the port feels a bit unpolished

 

Ha I started this thread with great expectations and still have yet to complete the bloody thing. Fingers crossed this patch finally makes that possible.

 

I like Ghost Recon. Future Solider is bad.

I recommend getting the orginals ghost recon desert siege and island thunder plus ones of company Grin ghost recon advance war fighter 1 & 2 for pc.

All 1st person shooters.

Hope next recon game be in 1st person. all we can do is hope.


And no more straight up ports to pc. Take long or awhile make
next ghost recon PC as orginal plus more maps then consoles.

Like Grin did a great company is no more.

 

Decided to give the v1.5 a try after reading the above and still problems remain. Performance is rubbish unless I turn off most things (dx11 etc) and set everything to low. Temps also still hitting 80°C even then.

Roll on v1.6 then I guess.

Several changes to the intel; eg: sensor grenades only last for 3 seconds, drones & goggles less "powerful";
Enemies shoot much more quickly when equipped with weapons such as RPG, shotguns, snipers;
Players die… much more quickly… and regen is slow;
More lethal (+30% damage);
Less bullets.

Does this auto patch on steam?

 

It should have done that, if it hasn't updated yet you could maybe check if it's set to auto-update or verify the file integrity again.
(Steam version of the patch is around 900 MB, Ubisoft version is around 300 MB since it just updates existing files whereas the Steam version does more of a replacement though it's still using the new content format so it's at least not a GB sized update.)

Opinion time - hardecore mode changes i dont like:
Regen slower - Its hardecore mode, there shouldnt be any regen.
Googles are less powerfull - What?
enemie shoot more quickly when equiped with weapons such as; rpgs, shotguns and sniper rifles - 3 weapons which out of all the handheld weapons one can use, are known to be some of the most time consuming weapons to reload and get into firing state.

Yeah i know, bitch piss an moan, i just miss the old ghost recon and rainbows.

 

The patch seemingly did nothing for my piss poor performance as I still had to drop almost everything to get a solid 30fps+. Will test more tomorrow.

 

That's strange, performance should have improved.

The higher settings can make the game rather demanding but it's odd that you would need to lower nearly everything and still only get ~30 FPS.

Although I guess this being the Yeti engine from the console versions of the GRAW games (Or so it seems.) it's likely not quite that PC friendly compared to say the GRAW PC version using the Diesel engine.
(Those were also in first person instead of third person and there were a number of other tweaks or differences from what I remember.)

 

Result 17-28fps

As you can see this is even without putting both tesselation and global illumination on max. The game is pretty much crippled if I do.





Result 30 fps



Turning vsync off in game helps obviously and I gain a few frames here and there but just as soon as I do either on low or high settings my temps go up from 65-70°C to above 80°C. This is quite literally the only game my machine is really struggling with which I never would have expected after owning it this long and no less than six patches later. I still can't play the game in a manner I'm happy with.

News flash that 7770 doesnt have enough muscle, lower your settings..

Especially turn off antialiasing and lower shadows/volumetric lights/detail objects.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier - Signature Edition

i want to buy the game pls.

 

The signature edition is the full game. I'm currently downloading the patch, everything went smoothly.

installed patch now got these to install :

man i bought the game from ubisoft website. im at office and it gave me cd key and download link.

i started my home pc from here with remote desktop.

now i started uplay there but fcking game wont appear. how the hell i gonna download the game at home pls?

edit: never mind. the email just arrived and it gives a link.

 

Sweet, i'm on version 1.05 now, had to manually download and install a few updates, just the same with far cry3 digital version too.
The graphics options look uber, think i'm gonna like this title.
