I just ordered a new build and with it an SM951.

I am reading many things about the heat issues these have and was curious to find no heat sink solutions.

I am running an Air 540 case full of fans so the air flow will be high and I will be using it for my game installs with my OS on an 850 pro.

What about using these on the memory modules?

If its anything like the Samsung XP941 im using (older model of the SM951) the temp do get high (67-70c on benchmarks using a temp gun, idles at 35-38cc - ambinet temp in the case is 30c) but i find standard airflow is enough to keep it cool, an extra heatsink might help some, but overall it should be fine if there is enough airflow covering the SM951.
