Of course there will be more applications. But it's going to be years and decades until it hits consumer market. It's still complicated to produce and, as far as I know, quite energy intensive. Might pay off in the long run, but as we all know, the consumer market is dominated by products not built to last, but to break down so the consumer has to buy a new one. Doesn't fit the business plan for us, I'm afraid
I read that it is possible to produce high quality graphen by blending graphite pulver and water with washing-up liquid in a blender.
