Hoping someone here can help me out, I'm getting pretty frustrated. I'm trying to overclock my 8600m GT in XP. I tried previously with 171.16 drivers. GPU-Z showed the modified clock speeds however, rivatuners monitor did not. I've switched back to 169.61 drivers. Now RivaTuner discards the changes once I've closed the window. GPU-Z doesn't even read the changes either. *Note* I've been using drive cleaner in safe mode to make sure all traces of previous drivers are removed. Anyone know whats up with this? Any suggestions?
