Oh boy, saw the movie last night. So around 25 years ago I rewatched Alien and Aliens I was old enough by then to no longer be scared by the monster and able to take in and wonder about what was going on. Questions such as What was that huge Alien in that crashed ship? Did they bring the Alien or did they just happen to find it and fell victim to it Despite it never actually been said why does Weylan Yutani seem to know about the Alien You know the little mystery that never needed an answer and actually made the movies more fun by letting you think about what the answers could be. And now you have two movies that have tried to have a stab at answering the questions and it looks like by the time the third movie comes out and finally links Prometheus to Alien the wonderful mystery back story to the Space Jockeys and the Aliens themselves will have been answered in what can only best be described as a huge hot mess.
The original books sort of got it right up to a point, the Alien, Human, Engineer and Predator universes crossed several times with various spin offs that interestingly sort of fitted together.
This, i watched it yesterday.. those white ones were meh and few moments but its ok'ish still.. Looks like there will be Moar alien movies in the future.
Watched it last night. Too light on suspense but a godamn fine movie. I think i still have poop in my pants or something.

Movie definitely needs heavy re-cut.
I watched this expecting to be severely disappointed given the rubbish I had heard about it. I was pleasantly surprised, very pleasantly surprised. Spoiler What I really enjoyed is how it has these Hannibalesque moments - obviously because of Ridley Scott that really work very well imho Definitely not the greatest movie ever made but thoroughly enjoyable.
