Hi i currently have the Corsair Force 3 and it's awesome driver, a bit low on budget atm and i need another 128gb SSD, i have the following options:

    Corsair force LX
    Transcent SSD370
    Sandisk ultra plus SDSSDHP.

    What would be the best?

Only those options available to buy? Nothing else?

yes i know they low end, heck they far slower than my Force 3 which is awesome. i'll pass, either get the 840 evo or crucial MX100

The MX100 gets my complete recommendation. Springing for 256GB is a good idea, btw. Better $/GB than 128GB.

Slightly slower, a whole lot cheaper. Durability is not a concern for either, however the 840 Pro is MLC (two-level flash cell) while the MX100, and the incoming slew of more affordable, although mostly just as fast, SSDs are TLC (triple-level flash cell) and are rated for less writes.

Just numbers at this point, really.

If you're not going to be writing hundreds of gigabytes a day, it shouldn't matter. Even then.

Everything i read and all the research i have done states that the MX100 and M550 are very, very similar. Yes, the M550 is better then the MX100, but not by much, and in some areas, the exact same if not a very slight bit slower (every test is different) so the cost difference really isn't worth it. the M550 has no retail place. You either make the MX100 the same price as the M550 and make the MX100 pointless, or make the MX100 cheaper then the M550 and make the M550 pointless.

If you are comparing the 256gb versions then maybe, as the 256gb MX100 performs a fair bit lower then the 512gb, and since i believe the original poster is posting about the 256gb one (or less?) then you may have a point, but reality is you probably won't notice a real world difference between the two for the cost difference no matter which version
