I kind of know how all the RAID's work, but the implemenation of them and using them im semi-confused on. I have 4x 1.5TB drives. I want to set up an expandable RAID 5 array.

Does anyone know how to do this?

    My motherboard can do RAID 0, 1, 10, 5. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit RC.

    Thanks!

you should really talk to your doctor about AID5.

really though, there should be a raid setup menu after the post screen, i think on mine i push ctl+I to get to it. or i think you can use the intel raid utility from windows.

Can't be done using the software RAID on the mobo. Only dedicated hardware RAID controller with Online Capacity Expansion feature (also called Dynamic Array Expansion) are capable of "expandable RAID."

Well I just read the manual and it's saying I can expand by marking the drive as a "spare drive" then adding it to he array... Is that how it works?
