It's good to see these brands around the top of the chart, but the head-phones.findthebest.com system that they used is a joke in my opinion.

I'm shocked to see Audio-Technica scoring that low. :O

Lol, Skullcandy and Beats on the list, but not Beyerdynamic? trolls.

in a chart that can be calmly disregarded.

I'm surprised to see Bose so high up that list.... I figured their headphones would be just as bad or worse than their speakers.

Bose headphones generally are quite poor, but they do one thing better than any other company: Noise Cancelling. That's the one thing I'd genuinely recommend them for.

Saw this a while back. Glad to see Shure at the top of this list. However, I don't think their headphones are for everyone, since they are more about details than bass.

Will be upgrading to the Shure 1540 when I get some $$$. Now that headphone has detail+bass. /drool

Bose have better noise cancelling cans than most.....nothing more.

Pretty bogus list and I am a huge Grado fan.

Beyer, Denon, Hifiman not even on the list ?

I guess it just goes to show....don't look in time magazine for audio gear :peeleft:

Such tests are very subjective. Based alot on the testers personal preference, system used...settings...etc.
I wonder what would happen, if the guy was blindfolded and various phones were just put on his head...with no brand recongnition on personal prejudices.

Noise cancellation isn't a major selling point, if the noise coming from the headphones isn't tolerable....
