Although I personally will not be playing, for those interested, this looks promising: http://sureai.net/projects/enderal/
As someone who can speak and understand fluently german any german voice acting makes me cringe to the point of no return. Same happens with german music.
Agreed, in some ways, better than Oblivion, which turned into a grind after a few hundred hours. But, since Enderal is using Skyrim, I have to pass.
Enderal will have English voices also. Btw, i'm part of this team. I create models, armors at the moment.
It is unfortunate the team cannot find a way to simply use the Skyrim files, without the user being required to activate the game.
To simply install Skyrim, and then install Enderal, as I did with Oblivion/Nehrim, without the Steam thing, although, Oblivion did not need activation. Honestly, I have no interest in Skyrim, but I would buy the retail disc in order to play Enderal, if it did not need the Steam thing.
No, well, it is a standalone in a sense, is it not? I mean that it requires no 'online' anything crap, which my issue with Skyrim.
Skyrim doesn't require online, it's just the only distribution channel is steam. If you're so concerned with the internet connection, use offline mode on steam, or get it and use a crack, then get enderal.
That is primarily the issue; why do I need to have a third party involved? All middlemen like Steam do is take their cut off the top for their 'service'. They do not prevent piracy, I believe they actually encourage it. I would buy more games if it was just between me and the producers. Again, I am required to use middleware. Two wrongs do not make a right. I refuse to use illegal methods. As much as I like casual gaming, it really is not worth it anymore. I suppose it is not all bad, I no longer need to upgrade my rig every couple of years, but the hardware manufacturers are not getting that couple of thousand dollars, either.
Correct, unfortunately. Even so, if it is nearly as good as Nehrim was, I believe others will find it enjoyable, therefore, I thought I would share. But, for myself, The Witcher 3 is only a couple of months away.
