So, after a bit over 4 years and a few small upgrades I'm going to be giving my PC a bigger upgrade in the next month or so.

I will be reusing a lot of my current setup, mostly due to financial reasons.
My case I'll be reusing simply because I love it. :) Thermaltake Element G, it's a great case.
I will also be reusing my current PSU, GPU (I don't have the funds to really get a better card at the moment) and RAM.

Thanks to a friend of mine who has work connections I'll be going with an Intel CPU this time around.
Due to his work deals he'll be able to get an i7 CPU for me for like 100 bucks.

    My planned changes are...

    CPU: i7 4790K
    Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-Z97-D3H LGA
SAMSUNG 840 EVO 120gb SSD (for OS)
    Win 8.1

I'll also be grabbing a new 1TB hdd for game storage and such, haven't narrowed down one yet.
But, checking to see if anyone knows anything specifically about the mother board? Any issues, or possibly better models for similar price?
