Driver installed fine, but CCC is not opening. I already tried to uninstall CCC, reboot and install CCC again.
But I luckily don't really need CCC :)

Instead of criticizing, you could help.
Why not to write some feedback on their emails or feedback form, if you know how things run

Going to see if I can get these installed on my 5870M, doubt it since other mobility 5000's are having trouble. Will be back later.

CrossfireX is completely broken for me in this set.

I've tried the .NET 4.0 version and the normal version and both when entering any game with CrossfireX enabled, Windows Explorer crashes, and the game black screens.

After disabling CrossfireX games launch properly.

:edit: reported the issue on www.amd.com/report

12.8 WHQL is working fine so far with the 12.9 CAP1 profiles

It is different. The Enduro 5.5 UI works with this one. If you read CatalystCreator's tweets, he said this release is specifically about Enduro 5.5 UI. The other driver coming in October should fix GPU utilization on GCN cores with Enduro.

Tested and can honestly say they are bloody fantastic with Borderlands 2 performance wise. My black screen issue when entering inventory menu's has now gone too. :D

Same Mobility HD 5650 issues that plague everyone else it seems...

Driver won't install... same with the 12.8 mobility version - but i managed to force-install them through device manager after a horror-show of BSODs. Can't do that with the 12.9....

    Anyone with a solution?

5650 mobility in only supported on AMD PowerXpress™ enabled notebooks using AMD chipsets

...WTF does that mean? :\ Is this the cause of the issues?

These have the same nasty effects that all 9.x drivers have had thus far when using MSI Afterburner. That being this, It lowers core to 300 and mem to 150, even though I'm running dual monitors. So I get HORRIBLE flickering in web browsers and such.

    Drives me crazy....

    I'm on Windows 8 pro 64bit RTM.

Nice find, i didn't see that anywhere.

    "PowerXpress
Available on mainstream mobile IGP chipsets (AMD M780G and M690), the PowerXpress technology allows seamless switching from integrated graphics (IGP) to discrete graphics on notebooks"

Same here! Was rather pleasantly surprised, since I didn't see BL2 mentioned in the release notes.

I guess this leaves the HP pavilion/envy/ notebook users out in the cold eh?

Don't believe they would remove support for 5650 mobility just like that... it must be some-kind of an issue.
I did file a report about this problem, but i don't expect much from ATI's support :grab:

    Display Corruption

After installing this driver on a 5870. When windows logs in the screen is all purple with horizontal and vertical lines everywhere. Does anyone know what might be causing this. I am not receiving any errors during installation or after they are installed. Just this display corruption. I did try both of the betas, the one with and without net 4.0. Thanks in advance for any help.

Asder, AMD released 2 variations of the 12.9 beta. One supports .Net 4 while the other doesn't. Any real reason to prefer one over the other?

Must be a Win8 thing, as Win7 Pro works just fine with this set, and the sept 9th leaked set.

Good question I was wondering the same thing, can someone explain why there's 2 versions of the beta this time?
