I shall wait this one out until after release. The trailer looks cool but isint representative of gameplay whatsoever.

 

It won't really matter. None of the sw games are canon anymore.

 

If this is a BF game with a SW reskin then EA is essentially selling us what the modding community could of given to us for free.

This has me interested; which is a first for any FPS not named Far Cry, in many years. I actually played the original on XBOX with a friend about 11? years ago.... good fun it was and this trailer at least is pretty sweet.

 

I want to be excited for this but it'll probably turn out to be a re-skinned BF.

 

But it's a Star Wars skin. Count me in.

 

If its not 1st person then I will pass. I have zero interest in console game play.
Doesn't matter really, its EA= Garbage games. Unfinished, unoptimized net code etc etc.
Maybe next summer it will be an half way decent game. Maybe.

It means that I have no hope for this being any more than another crap EA console port. You'll see. No dedicated servers. PTP match making etc.
If its not pure FPS then it will suck, No 3rd person crap. (except vehicles)

 

Far better than 3 and 4, buts that a different conversation.


Edit: Apprently there are no space battles. Its a pass for me then.... for now at least, maybe they can make up for it else where or....cant believe im going to say this, DLC them in.

Honestly, ive been hoping for planetside 2 scale, where you can sometimes have 300 vs 300 battles.

 

300 vs 300?Way to much coding for DICE,I`ll be happy if they manage to make the "netcode" work properly this time.40v40 is ok with me,sometimes 64 players can be a little chaos.
I believe that the main reason for the 40 players cap is that they can`t make any big changes to the core netcode and so reducing the player count is the only option.

After seeing the trailer I got excited, then I remembered this is EA! Expect micro-transactions and a Battlefront Premium Edition for $120. If they do that, they can shove it as release. I'm tired of paying over a hundred dollars for a game that should have all of the content at release for $60. EA and Ubisoft are both parasites of the gaming industry!

 

More the better. In Planetside there is easily 500v500 and thats a real battle and chaos, not 40v40.
