I have an Acer Aspire 5920G with 8600M GS VGA. The problem (after a few years of use) that presents itself is this:

I made the overtrick the vga but not resolved.

I installed a working 9600M GS, but the notebook show a black screen on boot too.

Now the notebook is in this situation:

    With 8600m

    With 9600m

    Without VGA

Can you advise me how to proceed to solve? Is there a way?

Hello, I did have the same laptop some years ago, and as far as I remember, the 8600M series GPU (G84M) was touched by an engineering problem making them die quick (between 6 months and 3 years, depending on the use).
    Here's a link about that

The Acer bios prevents any hardware change it seems (except for the RAM and maybe the CPU). You can't change the wifi/bluetooth modules or the MXM graphics card else boot will fail, as you know already.

Anyway, I guess your only hope will be to get your card in the oven and pray for it to come back for as long as possible. It may fix it for a week, a month, a year, or kill it for good.. But if it's not working as it is, nothing to lose I guess. You can find guides about the oven technique on multiple sites, I'll let you search for that if you don't know it already.

Buying another one from another 5920G user would not be worth it because of the inherent issue of this GPU IMHO.

I make oventrik of 8600m...but nothing

I read theth for the 9600m is it necessary flash a modded bios, but the wicrisis procedure thath I try wont work.

Now I want to creat a bootable msdos usb stick with phlash16.exe, the modded bios file, and a autoexec.bat with the commands for phlash16, but I dont know how boot the notebook with uasb pendrive, because I dont see nothing on screen
