    Looks alright...

I’d go with an AX750 over the TX850 and would stay with the H80i for the cooler; I just don’t see the need of hanging 2lbs of metal off the MB anymore (personal preference).

Also, I wouldn’t consider putting a new build together without two SSDs, one for the OS\Programs and the other for Games. I remember reading your threads about the issues you had with the Corsair SSD, too bad really... you’re missing out (and yes, some games get a huge benefit from an SSD).

Ok I replaced the TX750 with this

Corsair AX760 760W Power Supply - 80+ Platinum, ATX, Zero RPM, Single +12V Rail, 140mm Fan, Active PFC, 90-264V Universal AC Input

Would this power supply work better with the GTX 660 Ti SLi setup? It looks more efficient with the 80+ platinum and everything, should I upgrade to AX850 or is this more then sufficient enough for my setup?

Another question is this video card setup way overkill for 1080p single display gaming? Maybe I should go with GTX 660 SLi instead and with the saved money get an SSD OS install drive and for games? The 1TB for data or storage? I really don't care for an SSD now though to be honest.

Hey mf2385 I see that your location is Long Island. If you aren't too far from Westbury I suggest you go buy some of your parts from the Microcenter up there close to Roosevelt field mall. They have have deals on parts and the carryin replacement warranties are good.

yeah thanks for the recommendation on microcenter, I go there all the time, I am actually returning a defective pre-built PC I bought from Tigerdirect, and am going to just buy the parts off their website, they are giving me free second day shipping on the items and I am going to build off the site with their financing option as well.

Should I go with this build? How does it look? I could do something like substitute the GTX 660 Ti's for GTX 660s in SLi, then get like a lower power supply, and get a nice SSD. But I don't think that will help really much in gaming at all anyway. Another option would be to bring back the i5 3570K and get like a 128GB SSD for OS/Games. I really like what it is at now though.

The Corsair AX 760 is more than powerful enough for SLI GTX 660 Ti's with my system build?

Will this Corsair AX 760 be good enough while I will be overclocking the 3770K a bit, with dual GTX 660 ti's as well? Seems kind of a lower wattage for that. I mean I would feel better with an AX 860 I think.

    No SSD? Doesn't make sense.

If one can't fit in your budget I would scrap the SLi and get a 670 or 680 and get an ssd on top...

would make sense to me instead of just the 1tb barracuda hdd

Dude I had a pretty nice Corsair Force GS 180GB SSD for OS and games, and it was ok, I mean it wasn't worth it in my opinion for gaming to be completely honest. Rather have the sick SLI setup man. dual gtx 660 ti blow the heck out of a single 680 man lol

I get what your saying about the GFX performance being better, but I would much rather choose overall system speed and responsiveness over them extra few FPS in the few games that I would play. But that's just me. Fair enough if your going for dual/trip monitors or 3D then yeah go sli, but just for 1080p single monitor gaming i would be happy with the 670/680.

Just seems silly to me to spend this much on a system these days and just use a HDD. Did you use your force gs with a sata 3 mobo? that might be why you werent very impressed.

It's not just a few few difference between a GTX 680 and Dual GTX 660 Ti's it's actually quite a bit of difference and not having to worry about games like Crysis 3 coming out and having to upgrade again this year. Which will not happen with Dual GTX 660 Ti's. I had a Sata 3 Mobo Z68X Gigabyte actually. It was a good board. The SSD wasn't too bad but I'd rather have a sick gaming desktop, I will have more then enough RAM and a real good processor as well, to have to worry about other things like an SSD. Yes an SSD is a nice luxury if you can get one, but rather get a better video card setup.

If I wanted an SSD I would switch out the GTX 660 Ti's with GTX 660 FTW or something in SLi and lower the PSU to an Corsair AX 760 from 860 and get like a 128GB for OS and Games. But I really didn't see much of a different in games and what not. Transferring files I definitely saw a good difference though, that's where it shined. Do you suggest I get Dual GTX 660's in SLi then but a good OC pair and lower power supply and get a good SSD for booting/games?

Ok what do you think about this build, slightly altered video card setup, and power supply, along with OCZ Vertex 4 SSD for booting/games.
