    Nice post . . . downloading now!

I loved the graphics in CS but it had way too many bugs when it was released so I gave up on it.

Can anyone comment on the COP full game and issues if there are any?
Edit: Nevermind found the other COP thread.

DX11 guys anyone tryed comparing image quality and performance difference between DX9/10/11, since DX11 does seem to be more about performance than image quality.

honestly its pointless as theres nothing much but buildings and stuff( i.e. everything ive seen can easily be done in DX9 ), its not like uniengine where theres a huge difference. Also it takes ages to run lol

    I will try dx9 though

*EDIT* Cant run DX9 in Windows 7, will try DX10 performance against the stock i posted above in my first post which was DX11 on High@1680x1050 no tessellation

Yeah, i guessed it would be if its anything like the last Stalker one.

Cheers, much appreciated, hopefully DX11 provides performance increase or :bang:

lol, youre gonna see at the same time as me as i havnt compared with the above yet:
    DX10, High, Stock clocks
    [IMG]

    DX11, same:

Image quality wise in DX10 at the end of the test in the night test theres shooting, the shadows looked horrible in DX10, but that could be driver related or screen tearing.

*EDIT* DX11 seems to show more fluctionation in FPS than in DX10, again could be immature drivers for DX11, still doesnt look very promising tbh.

Also for the day test i dont know why it only has 1 rating for that in DX11 for min/average

I can't select DX11 with this even though I can run DX11 with Heaven Bench.

You dont have a dx11 gfx card.
You can select the dx11 in Heaven bench but cant run all the dx11 features like tessellation ext.

Yeah, i did wonder why there was no Min FPS for the Day one.

Performance differences aren't looking promising, but at least your averages are quite good.

Will go have a DX10 try myself, glad only 5000 series cards can select DX11, was pointless with the Unigine DX11.

yes he does, all DX10 cards work on DX11 only they dont support all the features. Theres no reason if you disable the HD SSAO & tessellation that he cant run with multi core support in DX11

Well im surprised it doesnt work on DX10 cards as ive said above.
TBH what im most impressed with is the fact that i overclocked the card and on ultra with tessellation enabled there isint much of a hit, however i dont think the benchmark uses tessellation much, no textures are viewed close up to check bump mapping and most of the environment is square buildings, maybe the trees are rounder but its impossible to tell.

Its a very very bad benchmark for the simple fact that the camera is so far away from anything so you cant even see what the resolution of the textures is or bumpmapping on them.

dont you find those FPS low? not trying to be an ass, you had a 5850 so you know what i mean, i thought a 5770 would be pretty decent if overclocked. The 5850 is showing as x2 as fast, maybe the cpu has an impact though.

Well the does seem smooth but this cpu @ 3.6 may hold it back.

Though i'm on a budget rig i can't expect everything to be good i guess hehe :nerd:

    5850 has 1440 shaders, 5770 has 800...There's your difference.
