Default creative alchemy + game mode + CMSS=static - 08-04-2012, 21:58 | posts: 134

every game i have tried to play that has EAX support ( bioshock, halo, battlefield 2) has MAJOR distortion and static whenever i run the game with alchemy, cmss 3d, and in game mode (which im pretty sure is the preferred configuration for eax games). i made sure that i am using the right settings in alchemy for all of the games and there is still a huge amount of distortion. i use the latest PAX drivers and have a titanium fata1ty champion. can anyone help?

I think Bioshock2 doesnt need Alchemy

And you can try Daniel_ K suite WDM 1.8, maybe its PAX conflict.. but you must uninstall everything, delete all creative folders (app. data - local, roaming; program data, program files, common files) and run a registry cleaner + driver sweeper for that extra touch; reboot and try DK WDM1.8

Also you can check this list for Alchemy compatibility info

Isnt cmss 3d for upmixing music into a surround sound setting? I always used to disable that when gaming back in the day.
