    Hello.
I know similar question has already been asked but I haven't found correct answer.

I have Gainward GeForce 9600GT 512 MB DDR3 Green Edition. When computer is starting, GPU fan is very silent, but when Windows is booted up it starts to be noisy. But drivers don't allow to set lower fan speed than 35%.

So I started using RivaTuner (currently v2.24) and created fan profiles in it. When RivaTuner is running, everything is ok. Because I have Win7 x64, I created task in Scheduler to start RivaTuner at Windows startup with highest privileges.

Now, when the login screen appears, I hear that fan speed is reduced to acceptable level (as I set it). I see Rivatuner.exe in Task Manager, but nothing more happen. When I run game, the fan is speeded up, but when I exit the game, it doesn't slow down. But when I execute another instance of Rivatuner, the fan speed is immediately to reduced to requested level.

When I leave this another instance running, everything is working correctly. But when I exit it (and leave running only that instance executed on Windows startup), it doesn't work as excepted.

I use following settings (in Launcher + Scheduler):
    Low-level 15% when GPU temp is 0 - 39.9°C.
    Low-level 19% when GPU temp is 40 - 41.9°C.
    Low-level 21% when GPU temp is 42 - 43.9°C.
    Low-level 22% when GPU temp is 44 - 45.9°C.
    Low-level 24% when GPU temp is 46 - 47.9°C.
    Low-level 25% when GPU temp is 48 - 49.9°C.
    Low-level 30% when GPU temp is 50 - 54.9°C.
Driver-level 35% when GPU temp goes 55°C upward.
    Driver-level auto when GPU temp is 56 - 200°C.
Low-level 30% when GPU temp goes 55°C downward.

Data sampling period is always 3000 ms.
Task freezing period is always 100 ms.

Low-level auto is not supported by my card, so I can't use it.
I repeat that these my settings work when another RivaTuner's instance is running.

Windows Task Scheduler is set (I have Czech system, so I'm trying to translate):
    Basic Task
Run whether the user is logged on or not.
    Execute with highest privileges.
Activation event > On login; any user.
Run program > Rivatuner.exe with -T parameter (although I don't see it in tray at all)
+ set my Windows account name and password.

OS is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

    Could someone help me?
    Thank you in advance!

Have you tried "MSI Afterburner" ? Not sure if it works on nVidia cards, worth a look as it has User Defined Auto Fan Speed settings which work

I just tried and auto fan speed doesn't work. Also, minimum manual speed limit is 35%.

Fan speed is not limited - you can move the graph down to 0 if you like

You have to click on User Define, and go into Settings, then you get this graph option

Yes, I know. But setting this curve has no effect. I think it needs HW regulator on my card.
