Codec

    Hey all,

    Probably a silly question but I've tried searching with no luck. I just recorded some game play with MSI Afterburn but when I try to play it after I don't have the codec installed.

    I used the MJPG compression setting. Should I change that or is there a codec install I can download somewhere?

    MJPG is built in in any modern OS and doesn't require any additional codecs. If it doesn't play, you OS config is corruted by third party codecs installation.

    I'm using Windows 8, it's pretty mush a fresh install. Anyway to check if something has gone wrong?

    Go to the CP in Windows and see what your defaults for various programs are set at.

    Try another video player, like VLC.
