It's probably not one of the first things to consider when buying a highend X99 board, but I'm still curious which one out there is the most efficient and can save me money for the long run. Can anyone help?
Whichever one you go with, there are some really good deals right now on Black Friday and Cyber Monday on Newegg and TigerDirect.
the price X99 Extreme4 is remarkably friendly compared to other overpriced X99 motherboards. Don't let that scare you. this motherboards is well equipped with so many slots and connectors it will make you head spin. This also means lot of upgrade option in the future. enough to keep you happy for let say maybe 4 years ...
I'd probably go with X99 MSI SLI Plus. Good board overall, solid, cheap and reliable. I dunno how it will fare against the pricier boards in terms of overclocking though, but that's probably just a few percents off. Plus they have a good customer support, at least in my country.
