I've heard about softwares installing Bitcoin Miners before, but nothing on the scale of a company such as Adobe.

Apologies if this is old news. I just don't know what to make of it.

Yeah that could be the case.

I'm running a complete scan now and purchased a Bitdefender Total Security licence the other day. Hopefully they'll find any stragglers.

^ same, no FileCache folder. WhiteLightning was probably right.

After scanning manually delete the FileCache folder (if it's still there) and check the plug-ins / add-ons for your browser(s) too and remove any suspicious entries to be on the safe side.
