Hi you guys, I was just wondering if any of you have tested this TV to use as a monitor on Windows.
Is it true native 1080p resolution? Or is it re-escalated? Is it good for gaming?

Look for Samsung website the model, I can't post the link here :(

    UN39FH5005G

Have any of you tested it? Because Im not even able to find YouTube videos or reviews :(

Keep in mind that this one has only 1x HDMI port and no VGA port, so that is why my concern :(

Will I be able to plug like a dock to it so I can have more HDMI ports and a VGA Port?

Yes you should be able to use that TV as a monitor. It is a 1080p TV and it should be fine for gaming. I use a ua40H6300 as a monitor and I only need to connect it via HDMI and then set it to extend desktop in Windows.

What you need for your port problem is a HDMI Switcher.

If you really need the VGA connection, you can use an adapter.

Why not invest the money that you plan on putting into a switch and get a better TV that has multiple inputs instead.

I'm not sure it actually has only 1 hdmi anyway, spec sheets are quite often wrong, especially on models that there are no reviews for.

The only thing I need is for the TV to work as a native 1080p monitor.

    No it wouldn't.

Text would be blurrier, general browsing would be a pain. I don't know about actual resolution too because Samsung is just lying all over the place with spec sheet. And don't even get me started on their "Clear Motion Rate" marketing bullcrap.

    I wouldn't recommend it.

Honestly it's a bit of a who knows as far as actual resolution goes, I would be willing to say that it is likely a 39" newish TV is for sure 1080p, especially from samsung.

I have no idea what you're talking about with text being blurry or broswing being a pain though.

I've been using HDTV's as second monitors and for some reason the text seems all blurry. Google it its very common, I don't think this one is an exception.

That'd vary from tv to tv, i've only owned a toshiba and a samsung and the text has pretty much been fine for me.

You need to make sure to turn off all sharpening if you use it as a monitor though, it's not designed for desktop.

I really don't think Samsung would make a 39" TV and lie about native resolution, I think it shuld look fine to hook up the PC, but I was not sure so that's why I was asking.

I don't think so either, but I can't be sure, the only real google searches for this model are two threads you created here and somewhere else.

Actually wait, I realised the fh5005g is likely a regional model (no idea what the difference is really), but there is info on the fh5000 on google.
    http://reviews.lcdtvbuyingguide.com/samsung-lcd-tv/samsung-un39fh5000.html

And from there it looks like the fh5000 is just a redesign of the f5000. Of which there is a bunch of info.

Thank you guys for all your advices and replies.
I will definetely try to change my JVC TV for this one, it's only a $200 more expensive and let you know about it!
I saw it working today at the store, it was playing a "test video" which look fine, but we cannot trust in that of course haha, at least image was neat.

Good luck with the new TV monitor :)

I have a Samsung UE32ES6710, it is a 32 inch screen, 1080p. I use it as my main and only PC screen and it fits perfectly to all my needs - browsing, editing, movies and gaming. No blurry or similar issues ;)

    No problem.

Make sure to turn off sharpening (edge enhancement) though, makes text look horrible.
