    Greetings,

as the topic says, I am interested into buying a notebook for gaming instead of upgrading my old PC. Which products would you suggest me? Or what are the key specs I have to seek?

I found 2 notebooks but I don't know if they are really enough for gaming?
And with gaming, I'm not meaning maxing all details with 8XAA in F.E.A.R or Oblivion. Just a performance which a desktop PC of 2.5 GHz CPU, 1GB RAM and 6600GT would give..

    This is the Benq one:
    Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T5500 2*1.66
    WXGA 16ms LC-Display, 180 cd/m² und einem Kontrast von 400:1
    NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 7400 256MB (128MB + 128MB shared TurboCache)
    100GB S-ATA Festplatte mit 5400 rpm
    1 Gigabyte RAM
    for 1300$

    And this is Fujitsu Siemens:
    AMD Turion™ 64 X2 TL-50
    2x 1,6 GHz
    Cache 256KB x2
    2048 MB DDR2 SDRAM PC 4200 (533 MHz)
NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 7400 with 128 MB DDR2 Videomemory and until 512 MB with TurboCache
    for 1200$

It really looks like a great value! The only concern I got is, how quality is FSC's monitors? It is 17inch with the regular resolution but can we compare it to a Toshiba's screen for example?

    Thanks for your replies!
I'm currently exploring into the Xi 1526 and 1546 models.
Can you please give the main specs of your 1526? Because I've found 1526's with AMD or Intel CPU's and with different amount of rams.

AMD Turion X2 Dual Core 2x1.6 Ghz / 1024 MB DDR2 RAM / 80 GB Festplatte / 17" TFT WXGA+ Glare / DVD Dual Double Layer Brenner / 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 is for example 1050€
    where
    AMD Turion X2 Dual Core 2x1.6 Ghz / 2048 MB DDR2 RAM / 80 GB Festplatte / 17" TFT WXGA+ Glare / DVD Dual Double Layer Brenner / 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 is 1200€.

    Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 2x 1.83 GHz / 1024 MB DDR2 RAM / 120 GB Festplatte / 17" TFT WXGA+ Glare / DVD Dual Double Layer Brenner / 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600
    is 1250€
And I hope you'll love and enjoy your new computer :)

I will wait for your first impressions here ;-)

I am actually now in between of your choice and
    Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 2x 1.66 GHz / 512 MB DDR2 RAM / 80 GB Festplatte / 17" TFT WXGA+ Glare / DVD Dual Double Layer Brenner / 256 MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1800
Second one is 50€ cheaper, has a slower CPU and only 512 RAM but X1800..
Graphics card is really important for me as I will use the notebook to replace my desktop PC for gaming.

BTW, where from Europe you are mate?

    Abend dann ;-)
I'm from Istanbul but will probably buy it from Germany as we don't have that version in here.

Bad thing is that I have to wait for my friend to come to Istanbul to bring it..

the link you gave is really awesome BTW, thanks again!

ye took me a while to get the notebook loaded with English XP instead of using the recovery "German Version" I will post my thoughts / results later...

1 pointer , I can play COD 2 on high settings with 100 fps at a resolution of 1400 x 900 and it looks great...

I need to change my profile becuase I've sold that system now and replaced with this note book and an X Box 360...

    DirtyTurk:

If I will buy one, I'll get either the Xi 1526 with 7600go or Xi 1546 with x1800 (with upgrading the RAMs to at least 1GB).
I still have to wait for a while though, because only way I can get the notebook is that my friend comes to Istanbul.

    rhyan:
It sounds like a quite awesome performance! I hope you won't face any other problems with your new computer.

My brother just bought an xi 1546, the one with the x1800, and he should be getting it in two days. I'll tell him to install 3dmark and hopefully I'll be able to post the scores on here.

    EDIT:
Well he received his laptop yesterday and his 3dmark06 score is 3142
    sm2: 1170
    sm3: 1220
    cpu: 1775
