Ok up until last week I was going to get the Kaveri 7850k but thinking i wont use the i-gpu for more then few weeks seems like a waste of money?

    Heres what I propouse-Amd Fx 4130 quad-core 3.8 3.9ghz turbo-$39.99
    Motherboard-Asus M5A78L M LX plus $ 54.99 mbetter boars
Iam kinda worried about the cheep board? Would this one be better? AsRock 970 extreme 3 am3? $54.99? I noticed it didnt say support for am3+ can i use this board?

My reason for a better board is one I have extra pcie e lane incase I wanna run crossfire with 2 mid range cards, but more then likely ill just usr one gpu! What do u guys think? I have all the other parts needed I just need cpu, board and a video card ill get last so i can save up for something decent. Is this better then a A10 7850k build or no? Iam on a really small budget, any help is greatly appricated, thank you much.

Iam trying to stay under $100 dollars for the Cpu and Motherboard.Thats for the Fx 4130 zembezi with either motherboard I mentioned.

The only Positive aspect about the Apu build Fm2+ is that I would be able to play some of my games now instead of having to wait for a dedicated graphics card that I was going to buy anyway. Is the performance about the same Fx 4130 vs A10 7850k? Both are quad cores, but run at about same speed, thermal is almost the same as well.

    What do you think?

I dont know what to do! Part of me wants to get what i know which is Amd but on the other hand id also like to try the Intel pentium G3258, I wonder which would give better performance with a dedicated gpu card?

    1)Fx 4130-$39.99
    2)Intel G3258-$59.99
    3)Fx 6300-$99.99
4)fx 6350-$129.99 out of my price range already
    5)Fx 8320-$119.99 free motherboard

So as you can see those are my choices.

Yeah iam having a really tuff time deciding which route to take, I am familar with the am3+ platform but as you know its old and so forth, still all I really need it for is to play games.Fx 4130 is my cheepest option 4 core schould be enough for majority of games,I hope? But for 20 bucks more I get a newer Haswell but with half da cores so I dont know? Isnt 2 cores like pre-historic? Can that even run games? I thought the minimum cores required by todays standards were 4? Correct me if iam wrong.

would be my choice, certainly powerful enough, but obviously depends on your GPU and Memory

I have the Asus M5A99FX Pro 2.0 with the Phenom2 965BE and it serves me well. The 965BE is probably not available any more, but check the Asus site to see if you can find compatible CPU's that you can afford.

I already bought a 4 core 4130 all I need is a motherboard and gpu now.The 99fx pro is a really good board, way to overkill for what iam trying to do.I need something cheep thats going to run 1 gpu max.Something like a $50-$60 dollar board with just the basics on there.

But thank you for the reply anyway.

Just get whatever is in your price range. The GPU & memory will do more for your gaming than the CPU will. My nephew still games on my OLD i3-530 with 4GB 1600 memory. But he's got the same R9 270 as I do & BF4 runs flawlessly.

Having run Crossfire, it's more hassle than it's worth (both in-game & general hardware wise), so don't worry about the PCIe lanes. Just go with a better single GPU. It's doesn't suffer diminishing returns, is guaranteed to work with any game, you get 100% usage from the hardware, and you aren't forced into running everything true-fullscreen.

So I'd focus on the GPU & memory for the best performance. Find a mboard & CPU in your price range that supports the memory speeds you want & go from there.

If you're going to run a single GPU and not do any overclocking, maybe the board I have would be good. It certainly works well for me. The only drawback is no USB 3 and "only" SATA 2. It sells on Newegg for $47.99. I really don't miss the USB 3 since the only device I have that uses it is an external HDD I use for system backups. I just installed a second cheap SATA internal drive and backup to that. It's faster than the external drive.

EDIT: Never mind about my board. It only supports the 95w FX processors and the 4130 you bought is 125w. It would work with the newer 4300 but not with yours. It would run but not at full speed.

The cheapest board I could find was this one that goes for $40 and does support the 125w FX chips.

    ECS A960M-M2

It also only has USB 2.0 and SATA 2 which would be okay unless you want to use a SSD instead of a standard HDD.

Ehm you listed the 8320 with free motherboard. I'd take that over any other option.
