Any Id Software game does never use "DX11" or DirectX but yes OpenGL only with SM 5.0.

EDIT: Win XP 64-bit still will be supported.

 

Agree with previous comments, and yes , i should soon upgrade to at least quad core....
Not for games only....Will see. I m waiting fm3 , i hope amd will not complicate again those motherboards, why is so much models?? am2 ,am3 ,fm 1,fm2..... really unnesasery... And only i hope, and hear rumors that wolf will work on 2 core.... I cant upgrade right now, later ,maybe....

Yeah, I'm loving what I'm seeing. Game looks like it'll be a lot of fun.
I can't wait for the next stream this Thursday.

1st 10min looks a lot like Rage, lighting, textures, objects, foliage guess its ID5 thing with this particular look.

Kinda mixed bag, at least texture detail is nice

ya i'm liking what i'm seeing too! kinda looking forward to this now.... to bad there's no multiplayer though!!!!!

 

The gunplay looks amazing, the sound and feed back look nuts. Lean and slide are there, which should be default in any fps. Seems they've improved or built upon RAGEs firefights.

Though the only thing i didnt/dont like is the weapon models. They look as though they're all just one piece of stamped metal. Hopefully there be third party mods.

Yeah, the difficulty screen was a nice dip into nostalgia for Wolf fans.
And I really like the gunplay as well. I'm still not sold on dual wielding weapons, but... enemy reaction, the weapons animations and feedback.

Also... the enemy dismemberment is nice.

May 20th can not come quick enough.

 

Yeah I'm definitely looking forward to this. I think anything that has to do with Wolfenstein or DOOM will arouse my interest until my last day on this planet.

And hey, my parent's ethnicity is German (they grew up in Europe right after the war) and this stuff doesn't offend me. All in good wicked fun.

I havnt been this excited for a game in quite a while. The new didnt start of to great for myself as a gamer.


Still aint pre-ordering jack though, lol.

A shame we wont be able to use SweetFX or Enb as its openGL based.

 

I pre-ordered, but only so I can get a copy on release day.
Normally, I would just grab it through Steam. But, I own retail boxes/cases for all the other Wolf games. So I wanted one for this one as well.

And, there's nowhere around here that sells PC games. So, if I wanted it... it would be drive two or more hours to a town with a game shop and hope they have it.
Or, use my wife's account and take advantage of her working for amazon.com and get it through them.

 

I can't wait. Pre-ordered mine, just waiting for my Steam key from greenmangaming.

Maybe I am getting old but the gameplay footage looks dull and boring to me. Small tight corridors with wave after wave of stupid AI, and the obligatory mini gun part with wave after wave of yet more stupid AI to gun down.

 

Bloom County is (next to Calvin and Hobbes) my favorite strip ever.

It is the opening the game. So, it's designed to get players familiar with the game's mechanics and feel.
It's been said that later sections will feature a HUB style level design like what Wolf 2009 had.

 

It only the opening of the game, at that point ww2 is still going. If you think about it, look at all the different game mechanics at play in just that small section. Gunplay is going to be awesome.

If anything, that 30min playthrough had more entertaining gameplay since metro LL imo, also there was not a constant of ai dragging you by the leach, unlike another certain game.

And hey, what game since the first crysis and fear 1 has had ai worth mentioning.

Though im a fanboi when it comes the the big 3 from Id.

 

Looking forward to tomorrow for another thirty minutes.
