Bethesda Softworks a ZeniMax Media company today announced The Elder Scrolls Online an MMO in development at ZeniMax Online Studios. The Elder Scrolls Online will be the first Elder Scrolls game to... More...
Interesting. I can't help but be concerned about how Bethesda's generally nonchalant attitude to bugs will translate into as sensitive an environment as a MMO.
I really hope it is Skyrim with multiplayer rather than the "genre of MMO" which is rather garbage in my humble opinion.
they have to convince me its not a wow clone. im not a graphics whore, but i really hate how wow looks.
will this also have a massive legion of fanboys that overhype the game? and because it's multiplayer, i wonder how the mod scene will work out. sure you can improve aesthetics, but to what degree?
wasnt that one of the big points for elder scrolls games? you can mod most multiplayer games anyway, i just wonder to what extent considering the game in question.
It is a big draw, but you also have a problem in multiplayer games where, even graphics mods, can give one player an advantage

graphics are terribad... I certainly wouldn't pay a subscription for it... the gameplay appears to be rather "meh" too, some good points to it, but allot of regurgitated features from WoW etc. I'll reserve final judgement since we really don't know much about it yet and rumors are iffy at best, but it doesn't appear to have anything going for it over Guild Wars 2, which will do quite nicely for any MMO needs I have for the next several years I think. For my TES fix, I have Skyrim and a billion mods to tinker around with.
FAIL why? it'll have to be more simple (than the usual stuff) just to work well enough not to piss everyone off and therefore it will be a let down!
