If you can't set an offset voltage, nevermind. But that's weird that your mobo doesn't have the option to.

 

You can only set cpu voltage to auto or manual (fixed).

There is a Vcore setting too that has offset option but the description says it controls input voltage.
Maybe future BIOS versions will add offset or adaptive mode for cpu voltage.

Low scores at CPU-Z

Hi everyone, i'm pretty new to this whole overclock process, tried to follow up the steps, everything seems perfect (cinebench good) but CPU-Z multi Thread seems very low to me. Anyone any idea, what can be the cause of this?

Have not had a PC run at 4MHz for over 30 years; and that one had a turbo setting for a blazing 6MHz. What BIOS version is installed? Was the Ryzen master Utility used or the settings in the BIOS manually adjusted? The single thread is way, way low as well. Sure it is stable? Was the custom cpu ratio setting adjusted? All that should have been done was to change the multiplier to 39 to reach 3.9GHz. What speed is the ram actually running at? Even at 2133 those results are way low. What is the cpu voltage set to? 1.3XX? ~1.4XX? Auto?

 

Popaz, you are using the latest cpu-z, the score are different from the old one, and your score are pretty much the same as mine.
I don't know what they changed in the new benchmark, but something are very different.

 

I have a Ryzen too, profile not updated.

I was using Ryzen Master for overclock.
The motherboard is an Asus Prime x370 with 0604 bios
The vCore was 1.35.
The computer is very stable (everyday rendering, graphic work, without any problem)
Also used wPrime for testing (1024m 16 threads: 116.621 sec)
Cinebench is around 1550 points
Memory i didn't touch, they are 2400 Mhz modules (2x8 Gb)
Also i'm using noctua d14, the temps are around 55 stressed 38 normal

I came across this little gem today. It is an overall explanation of RAM overclocking by the guys at AMD themselves. They even explain what sections and voltage tweaks can help provide stability to the system like setting SoC voltage to 1.1.

(correction, the SoC was for CPU overclocking, which they go over as well)

Seems Asrock have removed all bioses from the Ryzen motherboards apart from the bios update method of the latest releases. I can understand them removing the older versions, but it's surprising they removed the other update paths for the latest versions.

 

So it seems, only update via BIOS is available anymore. I understand why Windows is gone but DOS would be a good alternative to have.

Think I'll flash to latest ver. even if it doesn't seem to change much by description and have no issues. Guess there could be undocumented changes though.

Since they removed all earlier versions I assume all of them had issues which are fixed in latest version.

 

Yes, that's weird. Especially as I only got around to set my system up recently, which had bios 1.50 installed (which lacks the option to upgrade in bios directly).
