first of all thnx for reading...
i was looking for a subcatergory about MEM
but i couldn't find it, did i overlook??

    anyways here is the thing...

my screen can max support 1080 full HD 50" tv
so i wont be needing 4K power etc.

my processor is AMD 8350 i'd say not much problems there
my GPU is good enough for now but will be 3rd on list for replacing
it the AMD Radeon R9 series 280X 3GB gaming edition with TwinFrozr

my Win10x64 is on 120GB SSD
games are on regular 1.5TB (no clue what disk i got)
2nd on the list is adding a extra SSD for games!

my Motherboard is Asrock 990FX eXtreme3

here comes the current problem sadly for 1 game grrrrr
Just Cause 3 is annoying the **** out of me....
    that my 8GB isn't cutting it :3eyes:

4 slots only 2 in use by dualrate configuration...
    they are 2x 4GB Corsair PC3-10700 (667Mhz)
i did manage to run them easily on (800dual) 1600
but 8GB in total is apparently not enough for JC3.exe :bang:

so i don't want to spend to much...
and somehow i think the most efficient is to keep the current MEM
but just adding 2 chips of the exact same (if i can still find them)
then i would have 4x 4GB (2sets of dualrate config)

or will i be cheaper/better to remove the OLD
and go for a faster 2x 8GB kit?
extra question: what is the fastest my MOBO can support? :pc1:

    Hi g60force,

I would remove the old ram. Get your self a 2x 8GB kit=16GB Dual-channel you be just fine with that. As for fastest memory not sure.

Yeah most modern games are starting to use more then 8-9GB, you can get 4X4GB combo, but imo it would be better to get some 2x8GB 2133MHz (max supported) CL9 ddr3 ram. System will feel more responsive too vs your old 1600MHz.

Yeah, 8 gb isn't enough any more.
We're at a point where enough games use more than that - and to be fair, it's been a long time coming. I'd have expected 16 to be borderline enough by now (and already a few games are getting kinda close)
