Driver crash/recover on overclocking (GTX 680) -
| posts: 29
I know theres a million threads to be found online about this but nothing that really leads me to anything conclusive.
I have a MSI GTX 680 Twin Frozr3 version that according to every review i see should overclock quite well (i know not every chip is the same)
But the highest i seem to be able to get on the clock is about 70-75mhz before the driver crashes in a game and it reverts back to its default clocks.
At this point the temps are barely 50c.
The thing that irks me though is that my old card MSI GTX 460 talon attack had the same issue.
Which makes me think it might be a computer setting or a bios setting (already tried multiple windows reinstalls)
Motherboard is a ASrock z68 Pro3, running on windows 7 ultimate.
